Road Trip Snap Shots

Amidst the craziness of moving. I completely forgot about Record Tuesday. I suppose I will post some music later today and call it Record Thursday for just this once... sorry.

Today was our third day on the road. I am so tired of being in the car right now. We are currently in the middle of nowhere Texas and I surprisingly have phone service. Basically I am trying to find something to occupy my endless amounts of road time... Why is Texas so big?! I mean really... Ok that was out of line... In all honesty, Texas should be bigger, and only a native born Texan would say that. All I am saying is that after a day and a half of driving we finally reach the Texas border and still have 10 hours to drive.

The following are some snapshots I took on my phone of our trip. I've been taking lots of pictures with my digital camera (and film camera). The plan is to post all of those pictures and adventure stories throughout the next week. I will also be introducing a new blog series!

A road trip is not a road trip without an ice cream cone from Dairy Queen.

Last Sunday in Utah.

I cannot believe that I am moving back to Texas tomorrow. My dad is currently on a flight into Salt Lake and we are going to embark on an adventure into the mountains soon after he lands. The past couple of days have been busy busy. I have been trying to spend time with all of my friends and pack my billion pounds of stuff that I have accumulated over the past year. Seriously. I had no idea how much stuff I really had until I pulled it all out and put it into the middle of the floor. The following picture illustrates not even all of my craft stuff. Good news is that I only have a tiny bit more packing to do later tonight.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Courtney, Ben, Kaitlyn, and I went to the park to enjoy the weather even though I still had a ton of packing to do. Since it was Earth Day we thought it would be nice to spend at least a little bit of time outside.

If you don't really hear from me in the next couple days, it is because I am driving a 24 hour drive back to Texas. Don't worry! I haven't forgotten about you! My dad and I will be making some stops along the way to explore the "in between". So expect some pictures soon! The "in between" is a term that I coined for meaning all the little places that you wouldn't ordinarily travel to, but are significant enough to stop at them on the way to your destination. Traveling is so much more fun when you stop and discover.

So happy that it is sunny out!

Today the parking attendant (who was a girl) said "Thank you sir." very flirtatiously I might add. This made me very insecure. Maybe it was my short hair that confused her... But I will add that I was wearing my very feminine sunglasses...

I had a dream the other night that I ate 6 different swirl ice cream cones at the same time and held each one in one of my six arms. It was great.

Today I wore my most favorite shoes. Jelly shoes!!! I don't care what anyone says... they are amazing. I got them about 5 years ago at the dollar store for, well, A DOLLAR! and I wore them constantly. Then after a long time they started breaking and I stopped wearing them. I could never bring myself to throw them out, because I always hoped for a day when I would wear them again. Today was that day, and it was marvelous.

Today was my last day of classes. The next week and half are finals! I am so stressed. Also I got sick. It never fails... I get sick just about every four months and it always happens around important events in my life. So I went to the store and bought tons of medication & cool touch klenex. They are very cool.

Via My Phone.

This week has been slightly on the ridiculous side. The school semester is wrapping up… Only two more weeks!!! YES! But while the end of the semester is glorious, the weeks leading up to the end are terrible. Yes. Very terrible.
Also, I finally decided that I was very tired of my cell phone service. I get no reception at my house whatsoever, hardly get any reception in my front yard, and not a lot of reception in the city. I am just annoyed. So last week I sent this hateful email to my service provider. Long story short… They made me take my phone in to get it “fixed”… It wasn’t broken. According to their computers my phone is working “good” I live in a “good” coverage area and I “shouldn’t” have problems… except that I do. Yesterday I was literally about to find the tallest building in Salt Lake and throw my phone off of it. Also when they were “fixing” my phone, they reset it and deleted EVERYTHING downloaded a billion dating apps. Apparently they think that I need to “meet singles” via “flirt text”. I don’t think so…
Also, Instagram finally came out for android. I had been waiting for this to happen for, well, a very long time. I spent over two hours updating my phone and connecting it to google play so that i could download it. Then it tells me that my phone is not compatible. I was so mad that I again almost threw my phone off a building.
So after that ordeal I decided to download a camera app to at least partly fill the void…

It’s Spring! I took this picture on wednesday and I hear that it is snowing outside today… I live in a basement so I don’t know.

This week wasn’t totally bogus. There were a few sweet treasures along the way. Like those flowers.
How was your week?
