Summer Is Here!

I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. I just finished giving my final presentation and turning in the essay that took me what seemed like three years to write... It's hard to believe that the semester is over. I am so happy that I don't have anything stressful to think about anymore. The weird thing is that I don't have any thing stressful to think about. I feel like I have been stressing for ages. The college life cannot be good for my health.

The next week is still going to be crazy though. Tuesday will be the beginning of my long drive home to Texas. I am so excited to go home spend time with family, spend long days basking in the sunshine and laying in the sand, and most of all... being able to do all the things I have been wanting to do but never did for lack of time. This summer is going to a productive one! I have an entire journal full of craft and do it yourself projects that I have dying to get my hands on. This means that I will finally be fulfilling my new years resolution of do it yourself features on my blog! It will be amazing to finally put all these ideas to good use. I have so many exciting things planned for this summer. I only hope that I can fit them all in!

And because blog posts are funner when they have pictures.
Here are a few pictures from home I took last summer.

Are you ready for summer?

Finals Week.

I am already freaking out. Every night as I lie in bed just about to fall asleep I remember all the things that I have to do this week. My eyes burst open and I lay there trembling with fear. I would punch myself in the face for not getting things done earlier, but I am frozen with fear and regret. This always happens. Always. I never learn from my mistakes. I never learn that procrastination only makes you stressed, weak, and prone to sickness.
I would have just punched my self in the face for writing a blog post instead of an essay but I was frozen with fear and regret. Also… That self inflicted injury might make me NOT be able to write my essay. Maybe not. Because right now my body is pretty weak due to my procrastination and stress.
Oh. Such a vicious cycle.
If you don’t hear from me by Friday… I have probably died.
Wish me luck.

Stress

Ahhh. I may be going insane. This week is literally kicking my butt. My question is why everything big in my life happens all at once. The raise and new job responsibilities at work, Courtney’s wedding and all that comes with that, and starting school and all that comes with that. I am just hoping this week will go by very fast. Not that I am not enjoying it! I am very excited to see my family and friends and to celebrate the eternal marriage of my best buddy. I am looking forward to the many memories we are going to make in the next couple of days. I am just really looking forward to when things get back to normal and I can relax a bit. I want to be able to go to bed at night without having a million and one things race through my mind. So today I took some time out of my busy week to do some relaxing. I have put together a list of some pictures from some of my favorite blogs and websites that make me feel good. I love to find pictures that inspire, entertain, and relax me. One of my many dreams is to cover an entire wall in my house with photos of friends, comic strips, inspiring photographs, and other such things, and call it my “Inspiration Wall”. Until then I will keep my inspirations here…

Great coffee table book.

Red lips are the best lips.

Love the mix of patterns & colors.

Uh. I need these.

Can I have them all?

Dream Vacation.

Oh, Jason.

I have been thinking a lot about record players lately. I don’t think I can live without much longer.

Will this get me through this week?! I hope so…
