What I love about August.

August was a busy month for me. It was the last days of summer and the first days of the school year. August came with a lot of bliss and ended with a little stress. I have so many fulfilling memories from this month. Here's a little look back at some of the things I did.

I got an iPhone! and became obsessed with Instagram, which has helped me to be better at document my daily life. There are so many little things that are forgotten when you don't have a way to document them. These are some of the best years of my life (so far). I am learning so much, and really growing. It would be a shame if I forgot them completely.
I had some perfect beach days, that I am missing already.

I celebrated my 3 years since my baptism anniversary.
I spent the night out under the stars & woke up to a meteor shower.

I mourned the ending of summer.

Then, I moved back up to Utah for school, and along the drive I discovered some amazing things. (which I have yet share, because I still can't find the cord that connects my camera to my laptop... sorry)

I then rejoiced when I was once again reunited with my friends.

I then got all moved into my apartment and started school!
Lastly, I hiked a mountain and became as ready and focused as ever to make my dreams come true.

If your reading this, or have ever read my blog at all, thank you so much. I really appreciate all the kind comments, emails, and love sent my way. It really does make my day. Sometimes it's hard for me to believe that people spend their time reading about my life... so thanks for hanging around! Here's to another great month!

  1. Oh, what pretty views, and I love to hike! I also have yet to have a picnic by myself or with friends! Which I think I will force someone to do with me on Monday! -Jessica L

  2. Fantastic!! Glad you had such a fulfilling month! These pictures are seriously beautiful; isn't Instagram the greatest?! :P I bought an iPhone almost entirely for the camera, and I am not ashamed to say so--you're exactly right about so many moments being missed without a camera so accessible! I hope September is everything you want it to be. :)

  3. Kudos to you for such fantastic iPhonography!!! I'm seriously impressed! I seem to have had the same reasoning as you guys and bought my iPhone for the camera. It's just so handy!! I actually read something by a really incredible photographer the other day saying that taking photos on iPhones is great, because it takes decent photos and every photo you take teaches you something about photography. Just a random something I'd thought I'd share :P

It's great to see that you had such a great summer! Hope school is treating you well :) Rhi xx

    1. Thanks! I totally agree. Every time I take a photo on my iPhone I have to be more creative. In order to get really good photos I have to learn what to do an not to do. :)

  4. Your pictures are gooorgeous- I need to get an iPhone, because these are such pretty memories. It's so cool that you woke up to a meteor shower, that sounds like something out of a book. Good luck with school!
